The Tyrone Baseball team lost a conference game against Clearfield on Tuesday night. The Eagles and Bison played tough going to the 6th inning without either team scoring.

In the top of the sixth, Tyrone;s Matt Brenneman drove in two runs, scoring Drew Hunter and Coy Focht to put Tyrone up 2-0 going into the bottom of the sixth.

“I just tried to make contact and got lucky with were the ball went,” said Brenneman.

The crafty lefty Brian Gunter held the bison up for six innings and managed to give up no runs. Brian was pulled in the bottom of the seventh with two runners on and no body out.

Tristan Lingafelt got called on to get Gunter out of the jam and close out the game. But the Bisons scored three straight runs and won the game 3-2 in a hard match-up.

The Bison baseball team is one of the top teams in triple A baseball. The Eagles have a game Wednesday against Central at home at 4:00pm.
