Lady Eagles Stay Hot vs Central Mountain
The Tyrone Girls basketball team delivered another dominating performance Monday night when they rolled over Central Mountain 55-29 picking up their 6th victory of the season.
The Lady Eagles have been red hot to start the season against every team not from Bellwood. Their only two losses coming in the season opener and the Christmas tournament.
Tyrone was led by sophomore Jaida Parker who dropped a game 23 points. Sophomore Stephanie Ramsey and junior Shannon Shaw each added 9.
Tyrone had the game locked down from the start as they opened the first quarter leading 15-6. Their defense was airtight not allowing Central Mountain to generate any momentum.
Tyrone’s defense held Central Mountains offense to single digits in the second quarter. Tyrone’s offense continued to stay hot to keep up with their suffocating defense. The first half ended with Tyrone leading 30-13.
Tyrone pulled away even further in the second half as their offense and defense came out and picked up right where they left off in the first half. Tyrone’s defense held Central Mountain to single digits in every quarter except the fourth.
With the win the Lady Eagle’s record moves to 6-2 on the season. They look to keep rolling when they take on PO at home.
