In the second meet of the season, Tyrone senior and Lock Haven track commit Reagan Irons paced the team with three individual wins as both Golden Eagle teams earned team wins at Penns Valley on Tuesday, March 28.

The boys won 103-47 and the girls won 78.5-63.5.

In addition to Irons, Tyrone had four other athletes win multiple individual events: junior Dravyn Crowell, and sophomores Aiden Detwiler, Cian Hockenberry, and Kylee Nelson.

For the boys sprints Dravyn Crowell won the 100 (11.3) and the 200 (23.5), Austin Lucas was right behind him in the 200 taking second (24.5) and third in the 100 (11.5), Sam Crilly took first in the 400 (57.3) following behind him was Klayten Moore placing second (58.7).

For the girls Rebecca Lewis took second in the 100 (13.4) and Bree Paul took third. In the 200 Nicole Ramsey took third (29.6), and in the 400 Lewis took first (1:01.4).

In the boys’ distance Aiden Detwiler took first in the 800 (2:12.6), with Ethan McCloskey taking second (2:26.6). In the 1600 Detwiler took first again (5:14) and McCloskey also took second again (5:20.9), and in the 3200 Alex Brumbaugh took third (11:58).

For the girls distance events Aliyah Riling was the only one who placed while she took third in the 800 (3:39).

In the boys hurdles Cohen Wallace got first in the 110 hurdles (19.2) and second in the 300 hurdles (48.9) with Ashton Emigh placing third (50.0).

For the girls 100 hurdles Addison Warren took first (21.5) with Avalyn Moore taking second (26.3), in the 300 hurdles Paul took first (54.4) and Warren took third (1:02.8)

In the jumping pits Andrew Weaver placed in all three jumps, taking first in high jump (5-10) with Deegan Baldauf taking third (5-6). Weaver took second in long jump (17-10) with Crilly behind him taking third (17-4). In the triple jump Weaver took second (38-1).

For the girls Reagan Irons won all three of the jumps. She won the long jump with a 15-1 with Lewis taking third (14-0) and in high jump Irons won with 5-0. The girls sweeped the triple jump with Irons taking first (32-10), Ramsey taking second (31-8) and Rylee Fleck taking third (26-5).

In pole vault for the boys Tony Hughes took third (7-6) and for the girls Warren won with a vault of 6-6.

In the throws the boys swept shot put with Cian Hockenberry taking first (36-4), Gavin Woomer taking second (34-2), and Ian Dicken taking third (33-9). In discus Hockenberry took first again (105-8), along with Woomer taking second again (104-5). In javelin, Dicken won with a throw of 117-11, with Woomer taking third (111-0).

“Nice win but could be better,” said sophomore.

The girls also swept in shot put just like the boys with Raeleigh Oliver taking first (23-8), Kylee Nelson taking second (20-6), and Avalyn Moore taking third (20-6). The girls also swept discus with Nelson taking first (62-9), Oliver taking second (58-7), and Sidney Goodwin taking third (55-9). In javelin Nelson took first (86-3), with Oliver taking third (65-8).

The boys won all 3 relays, the team of Baldauf, Lucas, Weaver, and Crowell ran a 45.5 in the 4×1, in the 4×4 the team of Moore, Crilly, Romani, and Detwiler won and in the 4×8 the team of Detwiler, Miller, Brumbaugh, McCloskey also won.

For the girls the team of Lewis, Irons, Paul, and Ramsey won the 4×4 with a time of 4:30.1
