The Tyrone Swim team traveled to Richland on Tuesday, February 10, for their final duel meet of the season before Districts.

The boys won with a score of 106-62, bringing their season record to 11-1, and the girls also won with a score of 81-63, bringing their season record to 3-8.

A standout swimmer for the boys was Patrick Van Kleunen, as he won both the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.48 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.93. He was also a part of the winning 200-yard medley relay, where he swam the backstroke.

A standout swimmer for the girls was Emma Bonsell, as she won both the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:06.09 and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:21.71. She was also part of the winning 200-yard medley relay, where she swam the butterfly, and a part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the Golden Eagles won with a time of 1:55.27 (Patrick Van Kleunen, Cameron Nelson, Lucas Bonsell, Cameron Gallagher)

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Golden Eagles placed second with a time of 1:43.60 (Matthew Eckenrode, Chase Gallagher, Ned Smearman, Eric Goodman)

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Golden Eagles placed second with a time of 3:46.71 (Owen Dunklebarger, Matthew Eckenrode, Lucas Bonsell, Cameron Gallagher)

In the 50-yard freestyle, Goodman won with a time of 25.69. Ch. Gallagher placed second with a time of 25.85, and Smearman placed third with a time of 26.36.

In the 100-yard butterfly, L. Bonsell won with a time of 59.69. Dunklebarger placed second with a time of 1:01.87, and Vinnie Maloney placed third with a time of 1:15.72.

In the 200-yard IM, Dunklebarger won with a time of 2:19.69, and M. Eckenrode placed second with a time of 2:24.15.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Van Kleunen won with a time of 1:01.48, and L. Bonsell placed second with a time of 1:08.51.

In the 200-yard freestyle, M. Eckenrode won with a time of 2:05.44, and Ca. Gallagher placed third with a time of 2:10.53.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Ca. Gallagher won with a time of 57.61, and Goodman placed third with a time of 58.85.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Van Kleunen won with a time of 5:29.93.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Ch. Gallagher won with a time of 1:20.71.

GIRLS: TYRONE 81, RICHLAND 63

Tyrone won two of the three relay events. In the 200-yard medley relay, the Lady Eagles won with a time of 2:23.88 (Blake Pennington, Adalyn Jeffries, Emma Bonsell, Grace Corl) and in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the Lady Eagles won with a time of 2:01.57 (Blake Pennington, Emma Bonsell, Adalyn Jeffries, Grace Corl), and in the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Lady Eagles placed second with a time of 5:13.81 (Blake Pennington, Adalyn Jeffries, Sarah Chichester, Lily McNelis)

In the 100-yard freestyle, E. Bonsell won with a time of 1:06.09. Pennington placed second with a time of 1:07.47, and Corl placed third with a time of 1:08.39.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Corl won with a time of 30.55, and Jeffries placed third with a time of 31.44.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, E. Bonsell won with a time of 1:21.71.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Julie Kraft placed second with a time of 2:54.35, and Shiloh Price placed third with a time of 3:03.44.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Pennington placed second with a time of 1:24.55, and McNelis placed third with a time of 1:31.75

In the 100-yard butterfly, Price placed second with a time of 1:45.11.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Kraft placed third with a time of 7:50.91.
