The Golden Eagles had a strong first home meet back from winter break, with the boys continuing their win streak with another win against Bellefonte, making their record (6-1), and the girls falling just short of their first win by 12 points, making their record (0-7).
On the boys’ side, Bellefonte only had one swimmer, so the win was already guaranteed; however, it was a great opportunity to swim some new PRs and try out some new events.
While the girls lost, they had a very strong meet as this was the closest they got to their first win.
Emma Bonsell was the only individual winner on the girls’ side, where she won the 100-yard breaststroke. Bonsell and Bellefonte swimmer Sarah Litten actually tied for first, with them both finishing with a time of 1:23.55.

Matthew Eckenrode was a double winner, winning both the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:01.83 and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:25.48, being just 1 second short of his pr on both.
Owen Dunklebarger won the 50-yard freestyle with a pr of 24.57.
Vinnie Maloney won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:49.00.
Lucas Bonsell won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.38.
Cameron Gallagher won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.07.
Patrick Van Kleunen won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.60.
Chase Gallagher won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:19.76.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the Golden Eagles took first with a time of 2:03.39. (Dylan Eckenrode, Cameron Nelson, Owen Dunklebarger, Eric Goodman).
The Golden Eagles won the 200 free relay with a time of 1:59.22. (Chase Gallagher, Nate Erickson, Elijah Grove, Eric Goodman).
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Golden Eagles finished in first place with a time of 4:36.59. (Cameron Gallagher, Kellen George, Nate Erickson, Eric Goodman).

Emma Bonsell was the only individual winner on the girls’ side, where she won the 100-yard breaststroke. Bonsell and Bellefonte swimmer Sarah Litten actually tied for first, with them both finishing with a time of 1:23.55.
The Lady Eagles also won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:01.16, which was a second faster than their seeding time of 2:02.10 (Adalyn Jeffries, Blake Pennington, Grace Corl, Emma Bonsell).
The Lady Eagles placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:55.63 (Jeffries, Pennington, Corl, Bonsell).
In the 50-yard freestyle, Corl placed second with a time of 30.58, and Jeffries placed third with a PR of 30.77.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Bonsell placed second with a time of 1:21.22, and Shiloh Price placed third with a time of 1:56.16.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Corl placed second with a time of 1:09.76, and Pennington placed third with a PR of 1:10.80.
In the 500-yard Juile Kraft placed second with a time of 8:02.98, and Sophia Witkamp placed third with a time of 8:48.27.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Pennington tied for second with Bellefonte swimmer Juniper Ondrasik with a time of 1:26.02.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Kraft placed third with a time of 2:54.83.
