“When we get balanced scoring, we can be tough to beat,” said Head Coach Lucas Rhoades.

The Lady Eagles got off to an ugly start, and coach Rhoades was forced to call a timeout right away following a Clearfield 12-0 run to open the game. The timeout worked, as Tyrone followed up Clearfield’s run with a 20-0 run of their own.

The team turned around the early deficit and went into the second quarter up 23-14. During the frame Shaw and Lehman each scored 5, sending the Lady Eagles into the locker room at halftime up 40-28.

The third quarter was a defensive success for the Lady Eagles, as the Lady Bison connected on only two shots in the second half. Tyrone got another 5 points from Lehman and 6 from Shaw, leading to a 20 point Lady Eagle cushion to start the fourth.

Payton Wagner had the only basket of the final quarter, but the Lady Eagles went 6-for-10 (19-for-27 total) at the foul line to seal the 65-41 win.
