The Tyrone Lady Eagles continued their seven-game winning streak, collecting an easy 57-30 win over the Lady Bison of Clearfield on Tuesday evening.

For years, the Eagles have struggled to play well at Clearfield, even losing to their Bison opponents three years ago in an upset. However, since then, the Lady Eagles have pulled their weight and Tuesday was no exception.

Tyrone had a balanced scoring effort with three players in double digits; senior Jaida Parker led all scorers with 14, senior Stephanie Ramsey had 11, and junior Kayelin Gibbons added 10.

The first half was slow while the Eagles racked up points mostly inside the key, with Gibbons and Parker dominating inside. It was clear that talent-wise, they were going to be hard to keep under control.

The half ended with a rebound from the Bison, turning the score to 26-8 with the Eagles leading by 18.

The defensive effort picked up in the second half from the Eagles, and the score started to move farther apart. It seems the Bison could not keep up with the speed of the game.

By the fourth quarter, the Eagles were winning by a steady average of 25 points.

The Lady Eagles will face Huntingdon next at home on Friday, followed by an away game at Juniata Valley on Saturday.
