The Tyrone Lady Eagles went head to head in a Mountain League matchup against Bald Eagle on Tuesday, January 12th.

The Lady Eagles struggled in the first half, their shots weren’t falling and balls rolled in and out of the hoop, but were able to dominate BEA defensively to improve their win streak to seven games, defeating Bald Eagle 48-24.

Tyrone couldn’t seem to get anything going the first half and went into halftime up by only six points, 17-11, after Bald Eagle hit a buzzer-beating 3.

However, Bald Eagle’s hopes were crushed quickly into the second half as Tyrone went on a 21-9 run in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Tyrone junior Kayelin Gibbons led all scorers with 15, while senior Stephanie Ramsey added 13.

The girls will travel to Bellefonte this Friday. The game is at 6:30, and the girls have high hopes to extend their winning streak further.
