The team traveled to three competitions this year: Ticket to Broadway in Pittsburgh, Thunderstruck Dance Productions in Baltimore, and Nexstar National Talent Competition in Lancaster.

“I am so proud of all of the dancers who worked extra hard this year. They put in countless hours at the studio and for the first time ever, the entire team walked away with a platinum medal for their team production, Shine Bright Like a Diamond. The 2015 team is a special group of dancers and I am grateful to have been a part of their success,” said instructor Tessa Rossi.

For some of the dancers this was their last season. This includes seniors Davina Lee, Gabby Whetstine, and Lyndsay Greene.

“It was a great season. One of our best, actually,” said senior Davina Lee, “Our team walked out with 17 platinums. That has never happened in Dance Fusion’s years of competing. That is something to be proud of. My senior year has been the most successful yet and I am thankful I got to spend it with these amazing girls.”

“I love this season, especially getting so many platinum and receiving the judge’s choice hip hop award. I’ll miss all of the girls so much,” said senior Gabby Whetstine.

Senior Lyndsay Greene said, “It was a very exciting dance season. Everyone did so great and I’m going to miss the thrill of competing and watching all of the amazing performers at the competitions.”

The team competed with 27 dances this season of sizes of solos, duets, trios, small groups, large groups, super groups, and productions.

The dances are judged by three experienced judges and given an award from platinum (highest medal) to high gold, gold, high silver, high bronze, bronze, and honorable mention.

The Dance Fusion Spring recital will occur on May 23-24 at the TAHS high school auditorium.
