On a windy night in Tyrone, the Golden Eagles were able to rout the Bedford Bison 67-34. All of which was led by a 30-point effort from Eli Woomer.

“We played well, our shots fell on offense and our press defense worked great forcing turnovers” said Senior Eli Woomer.

Following behind Woomer was Ben Walk with 12 points and Mason Emigh with 8 points. Both played respectable games, but the unsung hero of the game was senior Ashton Emigh. He grabbed rebounds, found open men, and stole the ball right out of Bedford’s hands multiple times.

At the end of the first quarter, the Golden Eagles were only up 2, but in the second quarter the Eagles exploded, going on a 19 to 4 run that was led by Eli Woomer.

After the half, Tyrone kept it up, outshooting Bedford by more than 20 points and turning the running clock on for mercy.

In the fourth quarter, the game was kept under control and got the win

“We played well with a few mistakes to clean up, but we played well,” said Head Coach Luke Rhoades.

The Golden Eagles are now heading into Christmas Break with eyes set on the Holliday tournament trophy, but in order to get there, they will have to get through Penn Cambria on 12/29 at 7pm.
