The Eagle Yearbook Podcast Episode 1: The Pattersons

The Eagle Yearbook Staff is using technology to enhance the yearbook experience for Tyrone students this year.

Anyone who purchases a 2023 Eagle Yearbook will get exclusive access to online photos, videos, and music that will only be available to those with a 2023 yearbook and a smartphone.

We have some additional interactive surprises that we are not sharing with the students right now. You’ll just have to buy a yearbook to find out what we have in store.

“This yearbook is going to be much more than just a physical book,” said advisor Todd Cammarata, “The students are utilizing technology such as QR codes and other features that are exclusive to Jostens to make the yearbook experience richer than ever before.”

One of the first new features the staff is working on right now is producing extended video podcast interviews of all the seniors who are spotlighted in the yearbook. The first podcast interview that the yearbook class produced is with the Pattersons twins, Josh and Nathaniel.

“You’ll get to learn more about who the senior spotlights are. It will be more than just a brief quote in the book and you actually get to hear from them,” said yearbook staff member Beth Pearson.

In their interview, the Pattersons discuss childhood memories, favorites, similarities, and differences with host Olivia Barrena-Barr. They tell stories about growing up and give the inside scoop about what it’s really like to be a twin.

The staff is excited to do more interviews. Some of them will be shared on the Eagle Eye to help promote book sales, but others will only be accessible to students who purchase a book.

“We have some additional interactive surprises that we are not sharing with the students right now,” said yearbook staff member Avalyn Moore. “You’ll just have to buy a yearbook to find out what we have in store.”
