Wrestlers can’t pull it out in Bellefonte, lose 63-15

Tyrone wrestlers traveled to Bellefonte last evening and fell to the Red Raiders 63-15.

The match started out on a positive note for the Eagles at the 220 pound weight class with Ricky Reader pinning his opponent and Stevie Colyer receiving a forfeit.

Devon Brown then fought through a tough match winning by decision at the 106 weight class, making the score 9-7 in favor of Tyrone.

However, after the 106 weight class it was all Bellefonte for the remainder of the match.

Tyrone sophomore Mikey Cherry was pinned in a tough match at 113 pounds.

Sophomore Corey Hunter was then pinned at 126, followed by a pin of Aaron Lewis at 130.

At 138 sophomore Sage Dixon wrestled a tough match but was pinned in the 3rd period.

Senior Ty Snyder then was in a tough battle at 145 then lost by decision.  Phoenix Farias was pinned after fighting in a battle.

Senior Nick Getz wrestled the last match of the evening and lost lost by decision in a very close and hard fought match.

At the end of the night Tyrone lost 65-15 to the Red Raiders of Bellefonte.
