Tyrone’s Dance Fusion traveled to Pittsburgh November 8-9 for Shock Dance Intensive.

Shock Intensive is a day full of dance training.  Dancers have different classes each hour. During each class, dancers learn a short dance routine. It went from 7:45 am until 5:00 pm. It was in the ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in Pittsburgh.

“I think the Shock convention was a great experience because we got to push ourselves as dancers and learn a lot of new dances,” says Mary Beth Raabe, Dance Fusion Competition Team member.

There were many different choreographers, including George Jones Jr., Matt Boyce, Bryan Tanaka, Jaci Royal, Melody Lacayanga, Nikki Snelson, Ricky Palomino, and Allen Cooper.

“”It was really great taking our dancers out of their comfort zone at the studio and see them really hit it hard and go for it. I’m so proud of our girls,” said Lindsay Pullara, Dance Fusion studio owner and instructor.

Each choreographer had an hour to teach a class in a different style. The styles were hip hop, tap, jazz, ballet, musical theater, contemporary fusion, and contemporary.

The members of Dance Fusion who attended are: Gabby Whetstine, Natalie Berrena Barr, Mary Beth Raabe, Faythe Lewis, Haley Wagner, Justice Myers, and Davina Lee.

Other studios that were at the intensive includes; Abby Lee Dance Company, Studio 19 Dance Complex, TIO, Blair Dance Academy, and dancers from Florida.
