Eagle Eye: What inspired you to become a teacher?

Kathy Beigle: I had two teachers who had a huge impact on me – my ninth grade English teacher & my  senior business (DECA) teacher. Their influence and life lessons have stayed with me.

E.E: How long have you been teaching? Have you always taught at Tyrone? If not, where else have you taught?

K.B: 9 years. I taught at Hollidaysburg my first year as a long-term sub. The other eight have been at good ‘ole Tyrone!

E.E: If you weren’t teaching right now, what would you be doing?

K.B: I am a certified fitness & spinning instructor, and I teach a few classes a week. I would probably do this full time & become a certified personal trainer.
