The Tyrone Area FFA Chapter will hold its annual Fun Clay Shoot at the Warriors Mark Wing-Shooting Lodge and Kennels in Ginter on Sunday, October 6.

The shoot will begin at noon and run until all shooters have finished the course.

The entry fee for shooters, both adults, and juniors (12-17 years old), is $35 per person.

The entry fee includes 50 shooting targets, Lewis scoring for awards, a t-shirt, and lunch.

Junior contestants must bring their hunter safety card or hunting license to participate, and must have an adult with them.

For those not wanting to shoot, the lunch can be purchased separately as well for $5, and the t-shirt can be purchased for $10.

The Clay Shoot has been one of the chapter’s annual fundraisers for the past several years, and many members and people in the community look forward to it every year.

As a chapter fundraiser, the Clay Shoot helps raise funds to provide multiple opportunities for members such as conference trips like Fall Leadership Conference and ACES, but it also gets various supplies for events and meetings. These funds furnish awards such as FFA jackets and medals to chapter members at the annual chapter banquet as well.

“I’m looking forward to another successful clay shoot,” said FFA chapter president Kaylee Updike.

Registration forms for the Clay Shoot are located in the TAHS Ag Room, but you can register the day of the event up until 2:30 PM.

Shooters must bring their own firearms, ear and eye protection, and a cap must be worn by all shooters. Ammunition can be purchased at the Lodge, or shooters can bring their own.
