After the second night of Beauty and the Beast and a last minute decision to change their plans of where they were going out to eat, Jonathan Clifton found the inspiration to prompose to one of his best friends, Haley Butina at IHOP with bacon among other breakfast foods. Although they decided to go together before the promposal, Jonathan felt that Haley’s senior Prom, and overall night, needed to be special. A couple, random food items later and the creative promposal was sitting in front of Haley and him. Loving the idea of promposing with food, Haley said yes to one of her best friends and future Prom date.

Eagle Eye: Who did you ask to go to prom with? 

JC: Haley Butina

EE: Describe in detail how you asked them.

JC: Haley and I were at IHOP when our waiters came by with the mountains of food that we ordered. Immediately, I got the idea to prompose to her with our food. I constructed the plate in front of her and put it in the middle of the table. She looked at it and smirked then said yes. Afterwards our waiters brought us free ice cream.

EE: Why did you choose this person?

JC: She wasn’t able to go to her cast party, so I thought being the friend that I am, I would take her out, and since we already chose to go with each other, I figured that I would make her night better.

EE: Where did you get the inspiration to ask?

JC: Spur of the moment idea and we had tons of food.

EE: What relationship do you have with the person?

JC: Friends, partiers, and hiking partners

EE: Give us your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

HB: I think he asked me because he half loves me and half pities my pathetic existence. Also, we’re friends.

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

HB: I was very hungry before and during, but not after. He asked me with food, and I ate it all. Then to top off the night our waiters, Shaggy and Yetti, brought us out ice cream.

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

HB: Yes. This was the third time he asked. He did it in front of us.                                                                                                                         
EE: Why should you win this contest?

HB: Because J Cliff and I need a reason to stay friends. Plus, who doesn’t love food?
