Seniors Parker Mitchell and Payton Wagner are the “dynamic duo” couple. Since they’ve been dating for a while, Parker knew that he had to prompose and Payton was completely aware that he was.

Showing up at her house after a track meet and dressed in a lion costume, Parker held flowers, a stuffed lion, and a sign saying “I’d be LION if I said I didn’t want to take you to PROM.”

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

Payton Mitchell: “I went to Toys-R-Us to find a stuffed animal lion, but when I was looking I actually found a lion costume. I made a sign and went to her house, it said “I’d be LION if I said I didn’t want to take you to PROM.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

PM: “She’s awesome and beautiful and she’s so cool and swag. I love her.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

PM: “I saw it done with a stuffed animal so I decided to use a costume instead.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

PM: “She’s my girlfriend.”

Payton Wagner: “I’m awesome and we’ve been dating for awhile now.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

PW: “Parker came to my house after our track meet dressed in a lion costume with a sign and flowers. I felt awesome!”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

PW: “Yes because he pretty much told me he was.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

PW: “Parker spent a lot of time coming up with this and it was very funny.”
