EE: How would you assess your team’s performance against Bellwood?

Coach Gripp: “Very pleased the way we played in the first quarter, the last three quarters we struggled offensively.”

EE: What are your thoughts on the P-O game?

Coach Gripp: “It was nice to see that we scored consistently for four quarters. The press was working and we had multiple players in double figures.”

EE: What are some thoughts on your next few games coming up?

Coach Gripp: “We are entering a very tough stretch for us before Christmas. With Central, Mount Union, Huntingdon and Clearfield coming up the next week we really need to be playing some good basketball in order for us to get some wins.”

EE: What are your season goals?

Coach Gripp: “Win the Mountain League, Win District 6 and get to the state playoffs and advance as far as we can.”

EE: What areas will the team need to work on most as the season progresses?

Coach Gripp: “Be more consistent on offense, and get continue to work on our variety of presses.”

EE: Who are your assistants this year? What role do they play on your staff?

Coach Gripp: “My varsity assistant is Travis Anderson, JV coach is Byron Kost. The three of us work to get the team ready for each opponent during the season, and player development in the off season and during the season.”

EE: What about the JV and JH team? What kind of season should we expect to see from the younger teams?

Coach Gripp: “Both teams are off to a very good start. I would expect to see a lot of growth from both this season, there are some talented players on the JV and Junior High.”

EE: What is your all-time favorite basketball movie and why?

Coach Gripp: “The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh.  I was a big Dr. J fan growing up.”
