Varsity Softball Falls to Bald Eagle on Senior Night

Tyrone softball fell behind early to Bald Eagle and couldn’t comeback in an 8-1 loss on Senior Night.

Emily Baran, Grace Gensimore, Emily Hamer, and Emily Lehman celebrated their Senior Night before the game along with their families.

The Lady Eagles scored their only run in the fourth inning. Cate Baran started the inning with a single to left field. Ella Pearson then hit a fielder’s choice to the shortstop, and both were safe. With runners at first and second, Emily Lehman hit an RBI single behind the first basemen to score the Lady Eagles only run.

Bald Eagle had a five-run seventh inning to increase the deficit Tyrone had to make up to 8-1.

C. Baran led the team in hit with two. Winnie Grot, Emily Lehman, and Ally Jones each had one hit in the game.

The Lady Eagles next game is a playoff game against Philipsburg away at 4 pm on May 21.
