Tyrone Splits Tri-Meet with BEA and Huntingdon

The boys track team struggled without some of their better performers including Nick Vasbinder, Brent McNeel, and Jake Taylor, who were not able to be at the meet.  The boys were able to pull off a win against Huntingdon, 83-67, but  fell to Bald Eagle, 92-58.

The girls team also had a tough night with two close scores, but they could only pull off one win.  The girls beat Huntingdon, 79-71, but they also fell to Bald Eagle, 71-79.

For the boys team, Kyle Silva and Nathan Walk were both double winners in their events.  Silva won the shot put with a throw of 42-5, and he also won discus with a throw of 106-10.

Walk won the 110m hurdles with a personal record of 16.3, and he also won the 300m hurdles with a time of 44.2.

Another recognizable winner was Isaac Parks.  Parks won the 400m dash with a personal record.

The girls team was lead by Marissa Lewis, a triple winner, and Chesney Saltsgiver, a double winner.  Lewis placed first in the 800m(2:38), 1600m(5:58), and 3200m(13:35) run.  Saltsgiver won the 400m dash(1:09.6) and the long jump (15-1).

The boys move on with a 4-2 record, and the girls move on with a 3-3 record as they travel to Central on Tuesday.
