The Tyrone swim team competed in a tri-meet between Tyrone, Hollidaysburg, and Homer Center on December 20th.
The boys team dominated both of their opponents, to improve their record to 5-1.
The girls team unfortunately fell short against both teams keeping their record 0-6.
On the boys side, the Eagles won against Homer-Center’s boys by 36 points with a score of 92.00 to 56.00. The girls took a tough loss against Homer-Center that resulted in a 51.00 – 100.00.
One standout on the boys team includes Bishop Guilfoyle junior Isaac Yezkey for his 200 medley relay, 50 freestyle, and 100 backstroke.
Another standout was Bellwood senior Spencer Dunklebarger in the 200 relay medley, 100 freestyle, and 100 breaststroke.
Lastly, Bellwood’s Cameron Gallagher placed first with his medley relay team and second in the 200 freestyle.
The boys brought home another win against Hollidaysburg with a score of 87.00 – 74.00.
The Lady Eagles lost against the Golden Tigers.
Standouts on the girl’s team were the athletes on the 200-relay team.
