Tyrone lost a heartbreaking physical game against rival Huntingdon Bearcats 2-1 on Wednesday.

Quickly after the starting whistle Andrew Pearson was able to give Tyrone a 1-0 lead on a through ball from Hunter Jackson. Tyrone and Huntingdon continued to play a very physical game this resulted in a Huntingdon yellow card before the end of the first half.

Following the half Huntingdon were able to score two back to back goals, one coming off a crossed into the box and another on a shot outside of the 18.

Tempers continued to flare, resulting in a yellow card for Tyrone in the final minutes. Tyrone’s final chance to tie the game came within the last five minutes after Andrew Pearson was able to make a great solo run and get a shot right in front of goal, but unfortunately bounced off the post.

Tyrone 2, Bishop Carroll 3

Tyrone lost 3-2 in a close match against Bishop Carroll on Thursday.

Tyrone struck first within the first 3 minutes after senior Aaron Andrews was able to score at the top of the 18 on a Blake Johnston assist.

Bishop Carroll equalized later in the first half off a rebound.

To end the first half sophomore Alex Schmoke scored Tyrone’s second goal of the game, assisted by freshman Keegan Raabe.
Within the first 15 minutes of the second half Bishop Carroll was able to score an equalizing goal on a rebound shot which bounced off the post. Shortly after Bishop Carroll scored the game winning goal on a cross which ended up with a shot outside of the 18.
