Tennis Tackles Talented Grier, Comes Out on Top

Tyrone played their final regular season match Grier on Monday, Oct. 8th. Unexpectedly, Tyrone won the match 4-3, resulting in Grier’s only lost so far (2-1). The Lady’s final record is 8-4, losing only to Altoona, Windber twice, and Central Mountain.

The girls will play Team Districts at Westmont at 3 pm next Tuesday October 16th.

“It’s amazing! We have worked so hard this season and winning against a team like Grier for the last match is exciting. I’m so proud to be a part of a team like this one,” said junior player Lindsey Walk.

#5) Lindsey Walk (T) def. Vivian Yang (G) 3-6, 6-4, 6-0.

#2) Grace Rose, and Rachel Stricek (T) def. Yasmine Chaffari, and Chaewon Lee (G) 8-6.
