Prom is just a week away, and if you are looking for the perfect spot for beautiful prom photos, check out the Marraras Lodge at 2797 S Mountain Rd in Port Matilda.
They will be open again this year for prom photos between 3-6 PM on May 15th.
The Lodge is run by senior Paige Carper’s and senior Addison Warren’s families, and they are opening their doors to any Tyrone Area High School students and their guests attending prom this year.
“I’m really happy that our lodge can be a place for people to take prom pictures and make lasting memories,” Paige Carper said. “It means a lot to share a place that’s special to my family with others on such a fun day.”
“I’m glad we were able to open up the venue,” Addison Warren said. “Not only will prom-goers be able to get photos at a beautiful place, but the traffic may spark interest for those getting married in the future.”
Everything is free, including food and drinks.
Marrara’s Mountain Lodge is an event facility and wedding venue, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Tyrone Area High School.
The Lodge is easily accessible and offers a peaceful, secluded atmosphere surrounded by open grass fields, wooded forests, rolling mountain views, and a one-acre pond.
New additions to the Lodge include a brand new gazebo that will be open for pictures as well.
Similar to last year, the inside will also be open, along with the back deck and pond.
The gazebo will provide a very nice spot for photos, especially if there is rain in the forecast.
The inside of the lodge features a large stone fireplace, a wood spiral staircase, and beautiful oak flooring for a rustic cabin feeling, perfect for indoor photo opportunities.
