The Lady Eagles hosted their season opener against Philipsburg on Thursday, September 9th. The girls came out that night excited and ready to win this game against one of the best teams in their league. Unfortunately they came up short to the Lady Mounties, losing 1-3.

Tyrone got on top of the Lady Mounties right away, winning the first set 25-17.

For this next set, Tyrone went out with the mindset that they could win. But the Mounties battled back, taking the second set from the Eagles 11-25 and the third set 16-25..

The girls were curious on how the next set would play out. Winning meant that Tyrone would stay alive, and still have an opportunity to beat the best team in the league, but Philipsburg was able to take the last set 15-25.

Tyrone’s JV beat Philipsburg in three sets, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11
