Tyrone boys finished second as a team and Joe Kohler was named outstanding runner at the annual Bedford Giant Eagle Invitational last Saturday.  Kohler earned the award by getting first in the 800 and 1,600 meter while his brother Zach was not far behind, finishing second in the 1,600 meter and first in the 3,200 meter.

It was fun to see Joe’s black mustache run faster then any of the sprinters in the 4×400.”

— Head Coach Chris Shedd

Their performances helped lead the Tyrone Boys Track Team to a second place finish out of 14 other boys track teams.

Other notable Tyrone performers at the meet were Parker Mitchell (5th 100m & 1st 200m), the girls 4x100m relay team (4th), the boys 4x100m relay team (3th), Tori Crabtree (6th 400m), the boys 4×400 relay team (4th), Jacob Meredith (5th Long Jump), Nick Vasbinder (6th Long Jump & 2nd triple jump), and Denver Light (2nd Javelin).
