Tyrone had a chance to score when Junior Andrew Pearson was streaking down the field but Cory overshot Pearson, sending the ball right to the Bishop Carroll goalie, relieving the threat.

“We possessed the ball well, but couldn’t finish,” said senior Asher Christine.

Bishop Carroll scored again at the 10-minute mark, giving the Huskies a 2-0 lead.

Bishop Carroll added another with 17:29 left in the first half when goalie Isaac Woomer stopped the initial shot, but the rebound found the back of the net, giving the Huskies a 3-0 lead.

Tyrone got on the board with 12 minutes left in the half when Cory Johnston got the ball and ran past the Huskie defense, beating the goalie to the right, and cutting the deficit to 3-1.

Momentum shifted with 4 minutes left in the first half when the Huskie’s Hea head argued the call and was ejected from the game. But Tyrone couldn’t capitalize before the half leaving the score 3-1 at halftime.

The majority of the second half was a stalemate neither team adding a goal. The game remained that way until a shot by Owen Shaulis bounced off the Huskie goaltender right to Cory Johnston who sent the ball to the back of the net cutting Bishop Carroll’s lead to 3-2

The remainder of the game was slow neither team could manage any goals keeping the score 3-2 Huskies.

At the end of the game, Senior Ethan Vipond looked to tie the game on a free kick, but the ball bounced off the crossbar.
