The Tyrone Elks’ 51st annual “Elks Hoops Shoot” Free Throw Contest on Sunday, January 15th at the Northern Blair Rec Center in Tipton.

Girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 13 as of April 1, 2023, are eligible to enter.

Participants can stop by the Rec Center anytime between 12 pm and 4 pm to shoot 25 official free throws.

The best finishers in each gender and age group will advance to the regional round of competition.  Winners will be announced at the end of the conclusion of the competition.

Winners of the regional competition will advance to states and even nationals. Each year, the six Hoop Shoot National Champions will have their names listed alongside their picture in a brand-new digital exhibit in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
