The MainStreet Dance Company from Bellwood had a great weekend at Headliners in Johnstown on March 4-6, and their last spring competition at On Stage America in Altoona on April 5-7 competing in the advanced division.

At the Headliners Competition in Johnstown the MSDC team received The “Entertainment Award” in recognition of outstanding emotional commitment, musicality, presentation, and staging.

The team received 15 Elite Golds, 7 High Golds, and 1 Gold.

Tyrone freshman, Elayna Hess was honored with the title of Teen Miss Headliner, and Bellwood senior Shawna Lovrich received the title of Senior Miss Headliner.

On Stage America

The competition was intense in Altoona with a couple studios from Pittsburgh.

The adjudications from highest to lowest are Diamond, High Platinum, Platinum, Hi-Gold, Gold, Hi-Silver, and Silver.

Tyrone junior Nora Hoy, sophomore Paige Hoy, and freshman Elayna Hess were in “Spring” which received the Technique Award for ages 13 and over.

Jillian Hrzic attends Grier School but she returned as a team member for a day to compete.

The team received 2 Diamonds, 17 High Platinums, 5 Platinums, and 1 High Gold.
