MainStreet Dance Company will be showcasing its talents at the annual charity showcase on Feb. 11, 2023. Pictured here is the 2022 team, come meet the 2023 team as they hit the stage for their first public performance.

Dancers from MainStreet Dance Company and Andrea’s School of Dance Competition Team will perform at the Bellwood Area High School Auditorium on Saturday, February 11, 2023, to raise funds for Tucker McCloskey.

McCloskey suffers from aplastic anemia, a disease in which the bone marrow does not make enough blood cells for the body. These include red blood cells to carry oxygen, white blood cells to fight infection, and platelets to control bleeding. Treatment includes a bone marrow transplant. Tucker received his bone marrow transplant in November to start his road to recovery.

There are still many more trips to Pittsburgh to see specialists and check on Tucker’s progression. The McCloskey family knows this is a marathon and not a sprint.

All proceeds from the event will be given to the McCloskey family.

The performance begins at 7 pm and will include solos, duos, trios, and small and large group dances in the genres of tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, and modern.

Andrea’s School of Dance is known for its family-friendly music, movements, and conservative costumes with unique and pre-professional performances.

A donation of $5 is requested per person; tickets may be bought at the door or in advance on Feb. 2 or 7 from 5 – 7 PM at the studio on Main Street in Bellwood.
