Dance Fusion kicked off its award-winning season competing their solos, duets, and trios in Altoona on February 9-11.

Many local teams and companies competed at All Out, making it a good place to start the competition season.

“We’re at a point in our season where we are striving to grow, progress and build on our performance and technique at each competition,” said Owner and Artistic Director Lindsay Pullara.

Dance Fusion won a total of 8 Platinum awards, 8 All Out Gold awards, and 1 Gold award.

The scoring went from All Out Silver, Gold, All Out Gold, Platinum, and All Out Excellence.

After some dances hit the stage in Altoona, the team was ready to start their group competitions and went to the Revolution Talent Competition in Laurel, Maryland last weekend.

The talent in Maryland was tough and competitive, but they were able to push through the weekend and end strong.

They won a total of 12 Platinums, 9 Elite Golds, 4 first place overalls, 6 top five overalls, 6 top ten overalls, 3 golden tickets, and 2 regional championships.

Many unexpected events contributed to the weekend, such as the second day being canceled; however, most senior and teen dancers were able to compete their dances on Friday and Sunday.

“Our Juniors and Minis have been working so hard. It was a bummer their portion of the competition was canceled. I can’t wait to see what they bring to the stage,” said Pullara.

Dance Fusion also won the Class Act Award, which was given to a studio that displayed good sportsmanship, attitude, and spirit.

The scoring was different and went from, Gold, Elite Gold, Platinum, and Revolutionary (Advanced Only)

Their next competition is in Youngstown, Ohio at That’s Entertainment on March 1st-3rd.
