Eagle Eye: How do you feel about last week’s win?

Coach Wilson: I thought we played really well both offensively and defensively. We controlled the ball, made some great plays and executed really well. It was good to see that we didn’t relax once we got up and the players continued to play hard the entire game.

EE: What about the team has most improved over the past few weeks?

CW: The offensive line. We had several mistakes on who to block the first week and they have improved greatly since. They’ve been put up against some really good lines the first couple weeks and they’ll have another test this week.

EE: Do you think last week’s dominating win has helped the team’s morale?

CW: I think so. There was a lot of excitement and more of a team atmosphere in wanting to win over individual performances. The team was really focused after 3 tough games.

EE: Were there any individual performances that stood out to you this week?

CW: I thought overall we just did really well. Line blocked much better, we found several different wide receivers in the passing game, running backs ran hard. Defensively we were aggressive and didn’t give up any big plays. Everyone did their job.

EE: What will it take to beat Bellefonte next week?

CW: Bellefonte is another really good team. As in the weeks before, we need to be able to control the ball offensively and bend but don’t break defensively. They are the top team in AAAA. They are a very physical team and we need to match that intensity every play.

EE: What is the game-plan for this week?

CW: Control the ball on offense; no turnovers, no penalties and move the chains. We must pick up the blitzes on offense as they blitz nearly every other play. Defensively they are really strong up front and have a lot of talent to spread the ball around. We need to tackle lower (and better), be aggressive and eliminate the big plays.

EE: How is your fantasy team doing?

CW: Who has time for fantasy? We have film breakdown, practice, and game plans to put together to get better in real life. We don’t have a waiver wire to choose from.
