Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 3

Each week of the season the Eagle Eye will interview Coach Wilson about the state of the Eagles

Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 3

Eagle Eye: How do you feel the recent loss has affected the team?

Coach Wilson: It’s showed us what we’re made of, how well we bounce back, and how well our leadership is.

Eagle Eye: Do you think the team can bounce back?

Coach Wilson: Yes, if they understand what they need to fix, definitely.

Eagle Eye: What’s your biggest fear for this week?

Coach Wilson: Getting back into the right mindset after Central.  We can’t overlook Huntington, they’re a good team.

Eagle Eye: Have there been any significant changes from last week to this week?

Coach Wilson: Tightening things up at practice, and some replacements for injuries.

Eagle Eye: Do you think the team needed this loss as a realization?

Coach Wilson: They need to learn from it, as long as they can do that the loss can definitely turn into a positive.

Eagle Eye: Do you feel the recent loss was due to mental or physical toughness, or both?

Coach Wilson: Both.  Physically we were beat all around. Mentally we needed to stay in the game, even when things didn’t go our way.

Eagle Eye: How do you feel our toughness this week stands so fat, both mentally and physically?

Coach Wilson: Physical toughness at this point really turns into techniques and dedication to go hard, as for mental toughness, there’ll be harder and more physical practices this week to test our mental toughness and adversity.

Eagle Eye: Anything else?

Coach Wilson: I’m just looking forward to seeing how we rebound this week.
