EE: What inspired you to become a teacher?
AK: My first grade teacher Mrs. Mehall. The lessons she taught me at such a young age impacted me tremendously.
EE: How long have you been teaching?
AK: Finishing my second year.
EE: Have you always taught at Tyrone? If not, where else have you taught?
AK: Last year I was shared between Tyrone (AM) and Juniata Valley.
EE: What is your favorite memory as a teacher?
AK: Getting to work with such fabulous students Monday through Friday.
EE: If you weren’t teaching right now, what would you be doing.
AK: Probably a detective.
EE: where did you attend high school?
AK: Northern Cambria High School
EE: Where did you attend college?
AK: Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
EE: What is your favorite movie?
AK: Gone Girl currently, but The Little Mermaid, will always be a classic of mine.
EE: What is your favorite book?
AK: Anything by Liane Moriarty
EE: What is your favorite sport or sports team?
AK: Football- Steelers, and I cheer for the Bears occasionally.

Angela,
Congratulations on being named Teacher of the Month for April.
You have all the great qualities of a super teacher.
I also wanted to thank you for the nice comment. I’m glad I was
able to inspire you at a such a young age. I loved my job and loved
being a teacher. My students were always my top priority at work.
Keep up the good work! And remember teaching is a very
rewarding job.
