Nathan Hormell, a ninth grade student, was nominated by Mr. McNitt.

“Nathan is an outstanding student. He is a member of the Eagle Eye Newspaper staff this year and a Scout in local troop 300. He is a top notch student, who is insightful and conscientious. He uses his technology skills in amazing ways, both for academic and entertainment purposes. Nathan has created several videos for the school paper, as well as our high school assemblies. He has amazing talent, so Bill Gates look out!”

Eagle Eye: What is your reaction to being named a Renaissance Star?

Nathan Hormell: I’m happy and surprised.

EE: What is your favorite class this school year?

NH: I love the Eagle Eye.

EE: Who is your all-time favorite teacher and why?

NH: Mrs. Saylor from St. Matthews school, she was a very nice person, and I learned a lot from her.

EE: What are some goals that you hope to accomplish this school year?

NH: I want to continue to be the best I can be.

EE: What is your favorite thing about the Tyrone Area School District?

NH: The staff and students are super nice, and create a positive learning environment.
