2023 Eagle Eye Christmas Coloring Contest Winners

First grade winner Quinn Rivera and second grade winner Violet Sherry

The Eagle Eye held its annual first and second grade Christmas Coloring Contest in December right before the break.

Thank you to all the 1st and 2nd graders who participated. You all did an amazing job!

From all the coloring pages submitted by the first and second grade students, the fifth period Eagle Eye staff chose the finalists. They were:

Adrieyn Walk – grade 2

Amelia Mills – grade 2

Violet Sherry – grade 2

Zaleigh Felker – grade 2

Adrianna (no last name…help us if you can!) – grade 1

Eliana Owens – grade 1

Ember Wyland – grade 1`

It was very hard to choose a winner, but after lots of evaluation and a vote by the entire Eagle Eye staff, the winners from each grade level were:

Nicole Ramsey, Staff Writer

This is Nicole, who is currently a sophomore at Tyrone Area High School. This is her first year on the Tyrone Eagle Eye Staff. She is someone who always takes her schoolwork very seriously. Nicole is involved in both the Tennis and Track and Field teams. Along with sports, she really likes listening to music (especially Taylor Swift) and spending time with family. She loves to write about sports and different things that are happening throughout the school year. Nicole's all-time favorite season is summer. During the summer, she loves to be at the pool and go to the beach. In Nicole's free time, you will usually find her hanging out with friends.

Sidney Goodwin, Staff Writer

Sidney Goodwin is a sophomore this year and it is her first year in Eagle Eye. She plays for the volleyball team and is an active member of Student Council, YAN, Eagle Eye, and NHS. Her interests include hanging out with friends, shopping (spending way too much money), and reading. Her plans are to attend college and get a degree in business. Her favorite places to shop are American Eagle and Hollister. She hopes to cover volleyball stories and help with the new pieces, as well as coverage on special events and on school dances.

Alyssa Houck, Staff Writer

Alyssa Houck is a sophomore this year and is in her first year as a member of the Eagle Eye News. She is involved in basketball, track and field, NHS, YAN, Golden Revolution, FFA, and Student Council. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, as well as working on her agricultural business of raising livestock. After high school, she plans to attend Penn State University to obtain a degree in business.
