The time has come to name our third marking period Renaissance Stars! These students have been nominated by the teachers and staff of TAMS and are being recognized for their hard work and generosity.

FIFTH GRADE

“Zac is a positive student that makes everyone feel welcome and successful. He loves to help others and share his strageties, thoughts, and ideas. Zac always strives for success in and out of the classroom. He observes safety, acts with integrity and respects all – day in and day out. Teachers, staff, and peers can always count on Zac to do the right thing and be a role model for other students in TAMS.”

Chloe LaRosa

“Chloe is a wonderful addition to TAMS. She is always going above and beyond her expectations. She makes everyone feel welcomed and a part of a group. She’s a leader, which is very admirable for a 5th grade student. Chloe is always striving to be successful in and out of the classroom. She follows all of the SOAR core values by also acting with integrity, respecting all, and observing safety everyday. Chloe is a role model for many of her peers.”

What does it feel like to be a Renaissance Star?

It feels really good because I never really get picked for anything.

What’s your favorite thing about Tyrone?

My favorite thing about Tyrone is that everybody treats kids fair and teachers are really nice.

What is your best subject in school?

My best subject in school is social studies.

”Rory is a student who excels in many aspects of education and demonstrates positive school behaviors. He is prepared for class, organized, participates in discussion, completes his assignments, and he is willing to help students who are in need of some assistance. Rory is a hard working young man who has great potential to be a leader. He has confidence, balanced with efficiency and thoroughness; attributes that will serve him well over the next years at school. Congratulations Rory!”

To be a Renaissance Star makes you feel proud, like you are an accomplished student.

The better classes.

What’s your best subject in school?

Emma Getz

“Emma is one of the most polite young ladies I’ve ever been around. She constantly says please and thank you to all staff as well as her peers. Emma has the personality that lights up a room. She makes everyone around her feel better about themselves by her compliments and desire to help others. She is a hard worker. She constantly does her best to accomplish the task at hand. Her work is never late and is well done. Emma has a terrific attitude. I am honored to have Emma in my class.”

That everybody is compassionate.

”Evan adds such a positive spin on a classroom environment. He always has something pleasant to say, and is very articulate about getting his point across. Evan never has an unkind word to say about any of his peers or the adults involved in his education. He is prepared for class and will choose to participate in all classroom discussions. Evan has the characteristics of success, and without a doubt will be very prosperous in all of his future endeavors”.

What does it feel like to be a Renaissance Star?

It feels good to be noticed for doing something good.

What’s your favorite thing about Tyrone?

The amount of friendly people that share the same interests. In the two short years I’ve lived here I still have to find a fault.

What’s your best subject in school?

My best subject is math.

Karly Diebold

”Karly is such a pleasant student. She wears a smile on her face and brings such positive aspects to class. Karly is always prepared for her lessons and recognizes the importance of an education. Karly embodies the characteristics of a lifelong learner, and without a doubt, will be successful in all of her future endeavors”.

What does it feel like to be a Renaissance Star?

At first I didn’t know what a ”Renaissance Star” was, now that I do I feel honored to be chosen out of my whole grade.

What’s your favorite thing about Tyrone?

Even though I live in Sinking Valley, my favorite thing about Tyrone is the football games. I see my friends and have a lot of fun.

What is your best subject in school?

My best subjects are probably reading and science. I love to read and science is usually very fun and interesting.

Nathan Walk

”Nathan works very diligently during all classroom activities. He carries a quiet confidence and is looked upon by his peers as someone they can trust. He has a great relationship with other students in his class and is appreciated by his peers and also the staff. He has the ability and humor to joke around while keeping focused with the task on hand. He supports his classmates and is able to work well with anyone. Nathan strives for excellence with all he does and has a positive attitude which is contagious to those around him. These qualities prove he SOARS at an 8th grade student”.

It feels like a big accomplishment to be chosen out of the entire 8th grade.

What’s your favorite thing about Tyrone?

Having my friends and teachers there to help me.

What’s your best subject in school?

Math (Geometry)

 

Elise Brooks

”Elise is a role model in class. She is always willing to answer questions and help out in any way that she can. She works well with her peers and is very respectful. Elise is a conscientious student and very deserving of this recognition”.

I feel proud. I’ve tried very hard to get straight A’s throughout the year.

The nice people and the fun activities.

My best subject in school is Math and English. I’ve gotten A’s throughout the entire year.
