The Tyrone wrestlers lost to Mount Union on Tuesday 56-15.

The match started at the 132 pound weight class as Tyrone sophomore Parker Alley took on Mount Union junior Jake Boozel. Boozel won with the fall in the second period.

Tyrone’s Sage Dixon took MUs  Robbie Steel into overtime at 138 but Steel was able to pull out the win.

At 145 Tyrone senior Ty Snyder took on MU junior Andrew Tress. The match was close all 3 periods but Tress pulled out the win 10-7.

Tyrone’s Jarrod Ulrich was also pinned.

Tyrone’s frist win of the evening came from Phoenix Farias then turned it around winning 13-4.

“I thought it was one of my best matches,” said Farias, “I just worked what I knew was best.”

Nick Getz then took over and pinned Adam Ringey.

At 195 the Eagles’ John Chronister lost by a score of 8-1 against Mason Hockenberry.

Ricky Reader was pinned at the 220 pound weight class.

Following Reader, in one of the Eagle’s best matches of the night, Stevie “Smack-down” Colyer pinned his victim at 285.

The lightweights of the Eagles were also disappointed as both Devon Brown was pinned by Josh Boozel at 106, then Mikey Cherry was also pinned by Andrew Todaro.

In the last match of the night sophomore Corey Hunter took on sophomore James Woods. The match was very tight but Hunter pulled out the 1-0 victory.
