A great season for the Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band has come to an end as the band placed eighth out of 26 at the Atlantic Coast Championship Series show on Saturday, October 28th.

The students have had an amazing season. I am extremely proud of these students for their hard work and dedication this year. Our focus is an emotional connection and excellence and the students really reached both of those to a high degree this season. They soared past 90 to earn a season-high score of 91.26 at Chapters. This is the highest score the band has earned in years.

“It was very encouraging to hear very positive comments from many judges over the course of the season about our high level of excellence and achievement in many captions. We will continue to build on this excellence for the future. We are sad to lose so many seniors this year, but also know that our many younger students are very strong and dedicated to excellence in music. We’re looking forward to this indoor percussion season and next marching season! Congratulations to all of these students on their achievements this season”, added Hock.
