The 11th annual Tyrone FFA Clay Shoot will be held on October 8.

A staple of Central PA shooting sports returns this October, as the Tyrone Area FFA will host their annual clay shoot at the Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge on Sunday, October 8th.

The shoot includes a 50-target course, where participants or teams of four members compete for trophies, bragging rights, and a $150 prize for the team event, which must be declared at check-in.

Along with getting to compete competitively or casually in the shoot, participants will also receive a lunch and a t-shirt.

Proceeds raised from the shoot will help fund Tyrone Area FFA and its program at the high school.

Shooters aged 12-17 must register as a junior entry and provide a hunter safety card or valid hunting license to participate.

Entry fees are as follows:

Adult Entry Fee-$50.00
Junior Entry Fee-$50.00
Lunch Only Fee-$7.00
T-shirt Only Fee–$15.00

Participants may bring their own firearm and ammunition; however, ammunition must be 71/2, 8, or 9 shot for use on clay courses. Participants may also purchase ammunition at the facilities during the shoot. Firearms may be shared, and all safety precautions must be followed at all times.

All participants must wear ear and eye protection at all times while present on the course. Ear and eye protection will be provided at the lodge. A cap is also recommended.

For information regarding business sponsorships or entry forms, contact Tyrone FFA adviser Tiffany Hoy at the high school.
