The TAHS Student Council is selling roses from October 9th to October 16th during advisory and all lunches.
Student council advisor Michele Marasco is excited to start the club’s year off with something new. She hopes that this will get people interested in the dance.
“I am excited to be selling flowers before the dance in hopes that it gets everyone excited,” Marasco said.
Since many people buy flowers for the Homecoming dance regardless, student council members thought it would be a good idea to give all students a chance to buy a flower for a friend, significant other, or someone they admire.
Senior Ally Black, a representative from the club, is looking forward to the dance and hopes to have a flower bought for her.
“I hope many people buy flowers to help support Student Council and make someone’s day by sending them a flower,” Black said.
The small arrangement will be a rose with baby breath around for decoration.
One flower is $4, and with every flower, students have the option to write a message to the person that they are buying for.
In addition to lunch period and advisory, roses can also be purchased in Mrs. Marasco’s room.
The roses will be distributed during homeroom on Friday the 20th, the day before the Homecoming Dance.
