Second Marking Period Renaissance Star: Junior Stephen Garmen
Every marking period the Renaissance Club chooses two students from each grade level as Renaissance Stars from nominations made by the teachers.
Junior Steve Garman
Junior Stephen Garmen was chosen as the second marking period Renaissance star by Mrs. Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor’s quote:
”Stephen is a polite, young man who shows interest in health care. He has a good work ethic, turning assignments in on time. He has great potential in medicine. Stephen gets along with everyone in class, despite being one of the few, proud fellas. He pays attention and turns his work in on time. Stephen truly deserves this award!”
EE: What’s your reaction to being named a Renaissance Star?
Steve Garman: I was blown away, I never thought I would get any kind of award from the school.
EE: What is your favorite class this school year?
SG: Probably art, but I really enjoy my other classes like Health Tech, World Cultures, and English too.
EE: Who is your all-time favorite teacher and why?
SG: Mr. DePiro because he’s like a big kid. He always understood me when other teachers didn’t. He helped me through a few rough years.
EE: What are some goals that you hope to accomplish this school year?
SG: I want to make new friends and hope to get better at math.
EE: What is your favorite thing about the Tyrone School District?
SG: I’m not sure.
