The Tyrone Area School Board is scheduled to vote on a candidate to be the next head coach of the Tyrone football team at the school board meeting on Monday, March 10.

Brian Bressler, chair of the board’s student activities and and services committee, said that the interviews for the position have concluded and that the board hopes to vote on a candidate at the next meeting.

At this time, the  administration would not provide the name of the candidate who will be presented to the board, however Superintendent Cathy Harlow did say that the new coach will serve only as coach and will not fill any other education or administration position at the school.

The TAHS board meeting will occur at 7:00 pm on March 10 at the Tyrone Area Elementary School.

Stay tuned to the Eagle Eye as we continue to cover the hiring of the new coach.
