Keeping our record perfect at 5-0, we move into the second half of the season.

Beating the Red Raiders of Bellefonte last week 47-7 we had minor things to work on but nothing major. With the second half of the season, week six brings Bald Eagle Area.

The other Eagles down the road are not a bad team, they are big up front and have a few key positions filled up with exceptional athletes.

Coach Wilson on Tuesday night after practice reminded us of what a Bald Eagle player said in the interviews from media day. The player stated “I’d really like to win a district game cause we haven’t done that in like twenty years, so that’d be nice to do. Beat Tyrone too. We’ve gotta get back to that.”

If we weren’t fired up for this game before, we were now.  A small amount of laughter came over a few when this was said, along with a confirmation of Bald Eagle “calling us out.”

Tuesday’s practice was rainy and we got sent in for an hour before being able to switch to the gym for the remainder of practice where we would be safe.

The coaches reminded us we are getting away with little things now, but when we start to face better teams, they will really capitalize on these mistakes. The coaches consoled us that all of the minor error could be fixed, we just need to think about it and do it.

Our team will win because we have experience. We will Out-Condition Our Opponent. And we will be playing old school Tyrone, smash-mouth football.

It’s all about #5 this week boys…let’s get lucky and BEAT THE EAGLES!
