Spirit Week invades TAHS

Is that Johnny Cash or Mr. Gruber?

Junior Michaela Diehl  and senior Jordyn Swogger, a dynamic duo at Tyrone, are going all out for the Renaissance Clubs spring spirit week.

The Renaissance Club at Tyrone Area High School is enthusiastically promoting Spirit Week. They hold two annually, one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall spirit week consisted of two very popular themes: Twin Day and Camo Day.

The themes for this spring week were Monday: Day of the Decades (dress as your favorite decade). Tuesday: Monochromatic Day (wear all one color).  Wednesday: Superhero Day.  Thursday: Mix-Match Day  Friday: Spring Sport Day

The past few years the participation in Spirit Week has been on a steady decline. But the Renaissance Clubber’s keep trying to create new and innovative ideas for Spirit Week that will make students more intrigued.

“Unfortunately, the spring Spirit Week was not as successful as the spirit week in the fall, ” said Renaissance Club president Alyssa Benton, “so I’m really glad that Jordyn and Michaela stepped up and took part. It means a lot, and they look great!”

Michaela and Jordyn have definitely made this Spirit Week one not to forget.

The Renaissance Club would like to thank them for being the “Fresh Faces of Spirit Week” and for showing people that it’s okay to be a little out of the box.

Renaissance hopes that in the future more people will participate.
