The Lady Eagles let a good pitching performance by Kaitlyn Rockwell go to waste for the second time this season against the Bellefonte Lady Raiders.

Rockwell has been on a roll this season, breaking the school strikeout record held by former Tyrone softball player Cate Baran, but the Red Raiders were able to score two runs in the first and got three insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth, while the Tyrone bats were mostly silent.

The Lady Eagles’ only run of the game came from freshman Paisley Fix, who hit a solo home run in the fifth to bring the game to within one for the Lady Eagles.

The loss evens Tyrone’s record at 9-9.
