Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: Ruff Without You

Heather and Sam

Junior Sam Woomer found a cute, and close to home way to ask his girlfriend, Heather Osterhout, to prom by using her dog Bella as a way to her heart.

Woomer asked to see her dog while at her house, and held up a sign that read “Heather… PROM? Would be “Ruff” Without you!” Heather was confused at first when he asked to see her dog, but when he held up the poster she understood why. Look out for Bella in Sam and Heather’s prom pictures!

Promposer: Sam Woomer

Eagle Eye: How did you ask them?

Sam Woomer: “I was thinking at work one day on how to ask so I decided to get Heather’s dog Bella and use her and made a poster because I know she likes her dogs so much. I was going to use Zoey but I can’t lift up her St. Bernard because she’s a lot bigger.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

SW: “Because she is my girlfriend!”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

SW: “She likes her dogs a lot, so I know she would love it if I did a dog theme.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

SW: “She is my girlfriend.”

Promposee: Heather Osterhout

EE: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

Heather Osterhout: “I think he asked me because he wanted to go to prom with me.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

HO: “He showed up at my house and asked me to bring my dog Bella to the door. I handed him Bella and I was confused at first. Then after he held up the poster I understood why he needed the dog.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

HO: “I did have some because he kept bringing up prom so I was a little suspicious.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

HO: “I think we should win the contest because everyone says we are cute together. His promposal was very cute and he used my dog in it. Plus everyone loves dogs.”
