Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: A Puppy Eyes Promposal

Anna Beck and Tyler Gunsallus with their promposal and their puppy.

Seniors Anna Beck and Tyler Gunsallus have been dating for three years and for their second prom together, Tyler knew he had to prompose in a big way.

By using the charm and cuteness of his new puppy Harley, Tyler made a poster saying “If my puppy eyes don’t work maybe hers will” with her paw prints on the poster. With the help of his mom, Tyler made a poster for Harley that read “PROM W/ TYLER?”.  Anna knew he would prompose, but the addition of Harley made the promposal even better.

Promposer: Tyler Gunsallus

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

TG: “The only part that took so long was getting my puppy to allow us to put paint on her paw, and then direct it to the board. But, I asked her to come over, my mother put the smaller board around the puppies neck, and walked into the living room to ask her.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

TG: “She’s my girlfriend.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

TG: “Basically when we got the puppy, I knew I had to use her.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

TG: “She’s my girlfriend.”

Promposee: Anna Beck

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

AB: “He asked me to come over and used his puppy, Harley, it was really cute. He asked because I am his girlfriend and we wanted to spend our last prom together.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

AB: “He tied a sign around Harley’s neck that asked prom and he had a larger sign that said “If my puppy dog eyes don’t work maybe her’s will” it was a really cute way to ask.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

AB: “Absolutely, we’ve been talking about prom for a while. I just wasn’t 100% sure how he was going to ask.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

AB: “Tyler used a puppy and everybody loves puppies.”
