Eagle Eye Promposal Contest: Puppy Eyes on the Prize

Teddy

Sophomore Elise Brooks loves animals, especially dogs, and her good friend senior Asher Christine found the perfect way to ask her to prom.

By using his Eagle Eye contest champion dog Teddy as a wing-man, Asher made a framed sign saying “If my puppy dog eyes don’t work, maybe his will…” and Teddy was right by his side with a sign around his neck saying “prom?”

Promposer: Asher Christine

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

AC: “Between me, my, and a few of mine and Elise’s friends, we decided I should use Teddy, the Eagle Eye Puppy Contest Champion, to ask her. Sara Shock came up with the actual caption and then I just asked Elise if she would like to go for a walk and I surprised her with a sign tied to Teddy’s collar and a picture that said “If my puppy dog eyes don’t work, maybe his will…Prom?”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

AC: “I think she’s super sweet and cute.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

AC: “Elise loves dogs and just animals in general so using a cute dog like Teddy just made sense.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

AC: “Elise and I have gotten very close over the course of this school year.”

Promposee: Elise Brooks

Eagle Eye: Give your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

EB: “Asher and I have become very close over the past few months.”

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

EB: “I was asked if I would join him in taking Teddy on a walk. Of course, I agreed I’m such an animal lover so I was already happy to see Teddy again, but when I saw the pink sign wrapped around Teddy’s neck, I couldn’t have been more surprised.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

EB: “My friends can’t keep secrets. So yes, I had suspicions that he was asking me, but I didn’t know when.”

EE: Why should you win the contest?

EB: “It was such a sweet way to ask and I mean just look at Teddy. Teddy is the best wingman any guy could ever ask for.”
