After a track meet, senior Andrew Lang decided to prompose to his girlfriend sophomore Elise Gailey with a teddy bear and a punny sign.

By going to her house, Andrew held a sign that said “Prom would be unBEARable without you.” Excited and surprised, Elise, of course, said yes.

Eagle Eye: Describe in detail how you asked them.

Andrew Lang: “I went and got a stuffed bear, made a sign out of colored construction paper saying “Prom would be unBEARable without you.” Then I went to her house and asked her.”

EE: Why did you choose this person to ask?

AL: “She’s my girlfriend.”

EE: Where did you get the inspiration for the idea?

AL: “I looked up ideas and it didn’t seem as corny as the other ones.”

EE: What relationship do you have with this person?

AL: “She’s my girlfriend.”

Elise Gailey: “I’m his girlfriend and was expecting it.”

EG: “I felt excited and he asked with a teddy bear and surprised me after a meet.”

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

EG: “Freak yeah!”

EG: “We are freaking awesome and look at us, duhhh!”
